Nicolas C. Allen

Law Clerk
Nicolas C. Allen

Biography

Nicolas (“Nic”) Allen has practiced personal injury law at JBP since 2019. He started as a paralegal to shareholder Matthew Crowther and enjoyed it so much he decided to go to law school. He spent his last semester interning for Matthew Crowther and Matthew Athey, graduated in May 2025 and returned as a law clerk in August after the bar exam. His work includes various kinds of personal injury cases, premises liability, wrongful death, subrogation and lien negotiation, insurance claim handling, and bad faith delay and denial of insurance coverage for auto accidents.

In addition to personal injury, Nicolas has training and experience in business and real estate. That background gives him insight into the corporate defendants involved in personal injury and premises liability cases. His fascination with business drives his investigation of those entities during litigation.

In law, business, and real estate, Nicolas has learned the value of communicating well and often and taking initiative to accomplish tasks. The ball is always in his court: even if he is waiting on someone else, he keeps applying friendly pressure to get the job done. He loves working with clients, advocating for their needs, and helping them understand the legal process from start to finish.

Outside work, Nicolas enjoys hiking Colorado’s 14ers, mountain biking, reading, writing, engaging in ministry work at his church, and spending time with family and friends.
