Biography

As a shareholder and attorney at Jorgensen, Brownell & Pepin, P.C., Matthew Crowther’s practice emphasizes all areas of personal injury, wrongful death, and insurance claim handling from pre-filing representation through jury trial. He has brought more than 50 cases to verdict in Colorado. Matthew’s practice encompasses auto accidents, motorcycle collisions, bicycle crashes, pedestrian injuries, truck wrecks, catastrophic brain and spine injuries, dog bites, premises liability, wrongful death, and bad faith delay and denial of related insurance claims.

Prior to devoting his practice entirely to personal injury matters, Matthew was a deputy district attorney and a criminal defense attorney in private practice.  As a prosecutor, Matthew held criminals responsible for their wrongful conduct and tried dozens of cases to jury verdicts. As a defense attorney, Matthew defended clients facing criminal charges with possible penalties ranging from small fines to life imprisonment at the trial level. As a personal injury attorney, Matthew has obtained multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts on behalf of his clients.

Having spent years representing clients on hourly fee agreements, Matthew knows all too well the financial strain litigation can bring and is happy to now represent clients exclusively on a contingency fee basis. “I don’t want money to get between me, my clients, and justice. We’re in this together.” Matthew loves aligning his interests with his clients, pushing hard to get them maximum recoveries, and cutting them big checks.

Matthew is licensed to practice in Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.
