Biography

John M. O’Banion II joined Jorgensen, Brownell & Pepin, P.C., in 2025 as an associate attorney in the firm's business, construction, and real estate practice groups. He utilizes his dual Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) to approach complex legal issues with a practical, business-oriented mindset.

John earned his J.D. and M.B.A. from Loyola University New Orleans, where he received the Dean’s Scholarship, served on the Loyola Law Review, and was a Moot Court Staff Member. Prior to joining the firm, John served as an extern clerk at the Eastern District of Louisiana United States District Court, where he drafted bench briefs on complex matters including interstate commerce, tax evasion, and restaurant supply disputes. This experience provided him with a unique insight into federal litigation and judicial decision-making.

A native of the Gulf Coast, John recently relocated to Colorado. He enjoys playing golf, trying new recipes, spending time with his family, and live music.
