As a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, John Konz focuses his practice in the areas of estate planning, contested and uncontested probate, guardianships, conservatorships, Medicaid, and Veterans Benefits planning. John also advises start-ups and established businesses, assisting in the creation of new businesses, acquisition, and sale of existing businesses, corporate governance, and all manner of transactions, contract drafting, and negotiation.
John takes pride in being able to put himself in his clients’ shoes to understand their needs while working meticulously and tirelessly to ensure clients receive the outcomes they deserve.
Prior to joining the firm, John worked in New York City for one of the top-four firms worldwide advising multinational entities in the International Tax practice. During law school, John worked in commercial litigation and tax controversy firms in New York, as well as spent his summers clerking at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office, Attorney Regulation Counsel for the Colorado Supreme Court, and Holland & Hart LLP. Moreover, John is proud to have served as a senior editor on the Hofstra Law Review and as a board member of the Hofstra Moot Court Board. John graduated law school with Business Law Honors and received a citation for excellence in Commercial Law. Perhaps most notably, John is proud to have first worked as a paralegal for the firm for three years prior to attending law school and returning as an attorney.
Outside of practice, John relishes time in the mountains skiing, hiking, and camping, playing golf, homebrewing, and spending quality time with his wife, friends, and family.
