Rachel L. Sierminski joined Jorgensen, Brownell & Pepin in 2021 as a law clerk. Rachel focuses her work on Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Medicaid.
Rachel earned her Juris Doctor and certificate in Tax Law from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. Before and during law school, Rachel gained substantial experience in immigration law, working for both a large, international firm and with a solo practitioner in Chicago. She also worked in Loyola’s Federal Income Tax Clinic serving low-income taxpayers, as a law clerk for a criminal defense firm, and as a Research Assistant on projects involving privacy issues for family trusts and Uniform Trust Code provisions.
Prior to attending law school, Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Loyola University Chicago and her Master of Library and Information Science from Dominican University, after which she worked as a rare book and map conservator. Outside of the office Rachel is a nine-time Ironman finisher, enjoys finding new running and triathlon challenges, spending time with her headstrong puppy, and searching out new bookstores to get lost in.
