Biography

Karlee I. Janigian joined Jorgensen, Brownell, & Pepin, P.C., in 2022 as an Associate Attorney.

Karlee is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Florida. After graduating from the University of Miami School of Law in 2018, Karlee began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Central Florida, advocating for victims and representing the State of Florida. As such, she spent several years engaging in complex criminal litigation and gaining extensive trial experience. Karlee worked in the Felony Domestic Violence Unit at the State Attorney’s Office, focusing on child abuse, aggravated assault/battery, kidnapping and other serious offenses. After moving to Colorado, Karlee worked in the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s office as a Deputy District Attorney before turning in her prosecutor hat for private practice.

Karlee earned her Juris Doctor, with a concentration in litigation skills, from the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, Karlee was a Law School Ambassador, Secretary for the Criminal Law Society, and Treasurer of the Real Estate, Trust, and Probate Law Society. She is also a recipient of the Hope Pro Bono Service Award.

Prior to law school, Karlee attended Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in international relations.

In her free time, Karlee enjoys spending time with her corgi, doing arts and crafts, and spending time with her friends.
