On March 14, 2018, Longmont personal injury attorneys from Jorgensen, Brownell & Pepin, P.C. gave a presentation to the Longmont Landlord Training Alliance. Tax attorney Michael P. Sasin delivered a presentation called “Impact of the New Tax Law on Landlords.” The presentation began with an overview of how small businesses can be taxed under the Internal Revenue Code and how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act changed the tax treatment of small businesses. Specifically, the presentation looked at how the concept of “qualified business income” will impact “pass-through” business entities. If you wish to view the presentation you can download the entire PowerPoint file here.
Real estate attorney Matthew Athey was on hand to answer questions related to landlord-tenant law.
This event was in keeping with the firm’s commitment to serving the community. Jorgensen, Brownell & Pepin, P.C. has participated in Larimer County’s Senior Law Day, Boulder County’s Senior Law Day, and regularly sends attorneys to volunteer at Weld County’s Ask-an-Attorney. The firm hopes to participate in many more events in 2018.
